Bhavans   Vivekananda Degree College in association with IRCS (Indian Red Cross Society) conducted a blood donation camp in college campus on 11 January 2012.
Youth Red Cross and NSS volunteers of the college took a lead in organizing this welfare camp.
Dr Komal who is a doctor from Blood bank in Vidya nagar came forward to encourage   the students of the college to donate their blood, this program began at 10am with Principal Dr Y.Ashok   donating his blood.
To encourage students lectures donated their blood seeing this many enthusiastic students came forward , the students who came to donate, were tested in all medical aspects and then were allowed for blood donation, 249 students donated their blood.
This camp went on successfully under supervision of Mrs.Priya and Dr.kameshwari   faculty from the college
