INTERCLASS DEBATE
An Interclass debate was conducted on 31, August. The topic was, “In the opinion
of the house, India cannot win an individual Olympic gold medal in the next
three decades”.
There were 17 teams contending for the prize and the debate was very
interesting.
The best teams were:
B.Com III H – Vishal Gupta and Shyam Bharadwaj
B.Sc I A(Life Science) Barsha Rai and Vandana Vijay
The best Speakers were:
B.Com III H – Vishal Gupta
B.Sc I (MSCs) – Victor Nwabe.
Inter-Class Quiz 2004
The college conducted an Inter-Class Quiz on September 1, 2004 . 36 teams from
various classes and sections participated in the preliminary written elimination
test of these, the top 6 teams went into the interactive rounds.
The Interactive Quiz began with a round of non-competitive warm-up questions
posed by Mrs. Mahidhara to both the teams and the audience. The competition
consisted of a total of 7 rounds. There were 2 oral rounds followed by a visual
round; then another 3 oral rounds followed by an audio round.
All the rounds were keenly contested. The audience also participated with
enthusiasm answering several questions that stumped the teams.
The 6 teams that went into the final interactive rounds were:

STUDENT AFFAIR’S COMMITTEE
The objective is to look into the student related issues. The committee is
accessible to students, to hear advice and counsel them as per their
requirements in college.
The members of the committee met on 2 occasions and have already started their
work in organizing activities (competitions), encouraging student participation
and informal counseling. A suggestion to set up refusal boxes for
information/suggestions from students is also being considered.
All counseling will be done in total confidentiality.
YES at Bhavan’s
Bhavan’s Vivekananda College, Sainikpuri organized a Youth Empowerment Seminar
for students conducted by the Art of Living Foundation from June 25 to 30, 2005.
The program was organized by the counseling cell of the college and sessions
were held on the premises for II and III year students.
Students learnt techniques of developing mental clarity and focus, relaxation,
Sudarshan Kriya, practical leadership and team building skills through games and
stories.
The success of the program could be gauged by the large number of participants
who enthusiastically took part in this second such program
