Inception & Growth :
The department of languages, headed by Mrs. Ujjwala Desai, has been a part of the college since its inception in August 1993.
The department started with 3 lecturers, 120 students & 2 second languages. It has now grown to 11 lecturers, 1400 students (approx.) & 4 second languages.
The department of languages is the backbone of the college since effective communication is required in all fields.
General English is a compulsory discipline. The second languages offered are Hindi, Sanskrit, French & Telugu.
Objectives :
To sharpen the language skills of students
To sensitize students to recognize language as an important tool for life
To enhance communication skills for personal, professional and social growth
Nation building through awareness and promotion of Indian languages
To fulfill global aspirations of students through foreign languages
