BVC has a vital and effective placement and career guidance cell that incorporates the objective of linking education to careers in all its planning and execution. About 87% of the students (an increase of 3% over the previous year) have been placed with reputed companies, both in India and overseas. The number of companies coming to the campus has steadily increased over the years, culminating in the tremendous success of the pooled campus drive conducted by Wipro Technology in the college, for undergraduate and graduate students. About 22 colleges participated in the event. A total of 29 companies have visited the campus for recruiting undergraduate and management students; Goldman Sachs, EA Mobile, GE Money, 24 X7, Broad ridge, Wipro (BPO), TCS and Renaissance Soft labs Solutions have made their first visit this year. Deloitte has conducted US taxation classes for students who were selected by them from the commerce stream.
Deloitte and Cognizant Technologies have expressed their appreciation of the quality intake from the college, by awarding a gold medal and an iPod respectively to the toppers graduating from Commerce and Mathematical Sciences. Goggle has joined these two companies in expressing the desire to strengthen the association between the industry and our institution in various ways. In addition to placements, career guidance and counseling, lectures are also organized to help students choose the right career.
The selection process broadly followed by companies includes an aptitude test, group discussion and an interview. Salary structures range from Rs. 15,000/- to 20,000/per month for a fresh graduate. This year GoldmanSachs have offered the highest emolument of Rs. 21, 000/- per month. For an MBA graduate the highest pay package has been Rs. 27,500/-per month. About 50% of our management students have been placed with reputed companies. The College is confident of securing 100% placement in the years to come.
