Research and Development Cell

The Research Advisory Committee of the college was constituted in the year 2005. The main objectives of this committee are:

a) To encourage the Faculty to
(i) Pursue research/higher degrees like M.Tech/M.Phil/Ph.D
(ii) publish research data in refereed journals, articles in magazines and news papers
(iii) participate in Symposia, seminars, workshops and conferences on duty.

b) Recommend the required infrastructure for in-house research activity.

c) To identify various opportunities for consultancy

d) Promote collaborations with Universities and Research institutes.

e) Forwarding the research proposals to the funding agencies.

f) Establishing a central facility for research work in the College

g)Encourages students for taking up summer projects.

II. The college promotes participation of students in research activities by organizing:

a. Summer projects at both undergraduate and post graduate levels. Students are encouraged to participate in seminars/symposia/conferences both at national and international levels by presenting posters/papers, etc.

b. Annual Lecture Series - Gyana Tarangini Vyakhyana Mala for sciences and Medha for Management Studies – by providing a common platform for all the PG students to interact with scientists and subject experts in their respective fields.

c. Intra/inter collegiate competitions (Scientific writing, paper and poster competitions) to encourage creativity and to inculcate scientific temper.
