Winners don’t wait for chances, they take them! And this is what Bhavan’s Vivekananda College strongly believes in and aims at all round development of students along with academics. We encourage students for active participation in sports besides co-curricular and extra curricular activities. It not only enhances physical and mental development but inculcates in the young minds the values of sporting spirit, sportsmanship as well as team spirit.
We are happy that our intentions and efforts are well understood by the students and are consistently bringing laurels to the college with their achievements at University, state, national and International level too. We are proud to mention that our students have been representing OU every year for the last ten years.
The college gives ample support and provides adequate facilities for various sports and students. Not only this, meritorious sports students are provided scholarships by the college. It is indeed noteworthy to mention here that our college has been the overall championship (men) in OU for the fourth consecutive year (2004-2008) and the girls are in the 5th position in OU.
Like the great Muhammed Ali said and every word he said holds true for the Bhavan’s Vivekananda College sports students “Champions are not made in gyms.They are made from something they have deep inside them a desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have the skill and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill”.
