It’s that time of the year, once again, when glitz and glamour, fun and frolic, made their appearance. The College was tastefully decorated in traditional style. The students all gung ho!

Yuva Mahotsav-2011, was dedicated to K.M. Munshi , the founder of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, whose birthday falls on 30th December, a staunch champion and promoter of Indian Culture, under whose aegis the College functions.

Air Cmde, NDN Bhaskara Rao, VSM, Hon. Secretary, & Treasurer BVC, Sainikpuri Kendra. Hon. Director & Correspondent, BVC, paid tribute to K.M. Munshi and expressed his happiness that the assembled crowd was traditionally attired. He said that he looked forward to a great SHOW of exhibited talent.

Suave and succinct, the Principal, Dr. Y. Ashok, lauded the students for honoring the founding father, K.M. Munshi in such a Ethnic and colorful way. He wished all those present a wonderful Yuva Mahotsav 2011.

Graceful and charming as always, Mrs. Ujjwala Desai, Co-Ordinator, summed up the Event by stating that Yuva Mahotsav was “by the students, for the students”. 

Yuva Mahotsav was then declared open by the Hon. Director Air Cmde, NDN Bhaskara Rao and the Principal Dr. Y. Ashok.     

Humming and strumming, tapping and twisting, sampling an array of hip-smacking delicacies, dished out by those who hoped to bag the coveted title of “Master Chef”, characterized the Event.

The theme highlighted the fact that Indian Culture Rocks!, so be “Elegantly Ethnic”. The response was tremendous. Rangoli, Master Chef, Short Films, Mehendi, Hair Styling, Designing Dupattas or T-Shirts, Face Painting, Clay Modelling, Solo Dancing and Singing, Instrumental Music(Solo), Antakshari, Walking The Ramp, Group Dance and Treasure Hunt, all these competitions were an excellent platform for the talented “YOUNGISTAN” of the College.

The Real and Incredible India was here on Campus, on the 30th of December 2011, celebrating our very own culture in the most colorful and extravagant way.

AWESOMELY INDIAN, WOW, AWESOME, ROCKING, TERRIFIC, MIND BLOWING!!!! Were expressions overheard from the elated & overjoyed crowd of students. And, YES, it happens ONLY in Bhavan’s Vivekananda College, Sainikpuri, Secunderabad.
